First, I want to thank everyone who has ever supported and participated in any FragMint project—whether that's Worlds Within, Heartbreak Club, VR Wear, or VR Battles. Your support has meant everything.
I also want to give a special thanks to the community members who have helped me live out my dream of building tech and games. I know, I'm not the most charismatic founder, and over the past year, I've been more removed than ever.
And just to be clear—this isn't one of those "we're rugging" messages. lol This is simply an informal update and the start of a discussion about what's next.
A Major Milestone Achieved
My biggest priority in 2024 was finishing a project my team started years ago. I'm proud to say we finally did it. VR Battles has been a real labor of love and an incredible learning experience. I gained a ton of knowledge about compliance, legal navigation, and everything it takes to build something like this.
Navigating the Web3 Landscape
Over the past few years since initially launching Worlds Within, I've had the opportunity to experience firsthand the roadblocks that come with building in an emerging industry—one that isn't fully understood by governments or the traditional financial system.
The number of doors that were closed simply because of our association with Web3 was staggering. Looking back, I probably should have leaned into it more. But at the time, I had no idea what the journey would truly be like.
What's Next for FragMint
Now, I can start looking toward the Worlds Within and Heartbreak Club roadmap, exploring how they fit into the Cardano and Web3 landscape. I'm still a fan of Cardano and believe in its technology, but I'm at a stage where I want to deliver games and applications with true staying power. That's exactly what we're going to do under the FragMint umbrella.
I've also taken some time to revamp the FragMint website, stake pool, and YouTube. We've been consistently posting short-format videos for months now, and I think the path we're on is a strong one. Now, we're gradually shifting focus toward VR games and related applications.
A Creative Evolution
I always push myself with every project we deliver, making sure it's unique. I still have a lot of love for all the projects we've created, and Worlds Within and Heartbreak Club holders will have first dibs on my next project.
Over the years, my perspective and goals have evolved. I don't expect this next project to make holders rich—and honestly, that's not the goal. But if you love art, tech, and supporting creators who actually show up to meets and events, then you'll want to be part of our next drop.
Embracing My Artistic Roots
Somewhere along the way, I realized that at my core, I'm an artist. I want to stay true to that by creating both the projects and the art that I love, and sharing them with others. This art will take shape across different types of media, and I want you all to know that I've learned so much from my past mistakes. Moving forward, I plan to operate very differently.
I've always intended to be part of this community for the long haul, and given the opportunity, I will continue to build and create alongside you.
This time around, I plan to have more fun and worry less about what others think of what we're building.
